Mark's BEST Rivalries in the State

Checotah Wildcats  vs Eufala Ironheads - November 16 1946...the Wildcats defeated their long time rivals, the Eufaula Ironheads, by a record breaking score of 41-6. This is the longest running rivalry in the state of Oklahoma.

Sulphur Bulldogs vs Davis Wolves - Battle of Murray County.  Neither team has had a losing season in over 3 DECADES!!!  Easily the best small school rivalry in the state.

Jenks Trojans vs Union Redskins - Obviously. Skelley Stadium in Tulsa is usually packed to the rim with over 25,000 fans to see one of the best rivalries not only in the state, but in the Country. Simply...Jenks/Union

Clinton Red Tornadoes vs Weatherford Eagles - The Custer County Conflict. The perennial powerhouse Clinton Red Tornadoes have ruled both 3A and 4A, but the meeting between these two schools is always a lot of fun.

Idabel Warriors vs Broken Bow Savages - The Little River Rumble.  The little river is the only thing that seperates these two towns. A gold traveling trophy, as well as bragging rights, is at stake every year when the two McCurtain County schools tangle.

Ada Cougars vs McAlester Buffaloes - Highway 1 Showdown. The two schools are a fierce rival, and last year was even more fierce considering that there were serious playoff implications that went along with it.

Newcastle Racers vs Tuttle Tigers - County Crossover. The Rivalry is seperated by a county line and 14 miles. McClain and Grady County line serves as the half way point of a 3A showdown that is anticipated early each season.

GuthrieBlue Jays vs Carl Albert Titans 5A CLASH. These two high schools have shown excellence. This year it is going to be serious as Carl Albert has won virtually every state championship given out and the Blue Jays don't like it too much.

Moore Lions vs Westmoore Jaguars - THE MOORE WAR. Bitter Rivals, crosstown rivals and one heck of a game every year. Westmoore had great success last season, but the lions look to stop the Jags in their tracks.

Seminole Chieftains vs Wewoka Tigers - 270 Rivalry. The 12 mile trip down highway 270 has been the focal point for Chieftain and Tiger fans for a long, long time. These two schools have been slugging it out almost as long as any other two teams in the state.
